Best Bike Shorts Reviews - We Picked Bicycle Shorts With Perfect Padding For Men & Women Cycling

Top Cycling Shorts For Men

1. Sponeed Men's Cycling Shorts

No products found.

Sponeed first grabbed my attention in one of our cycling competition. Having inquired about it, I couldn’t wait to order my own.

I only had one regret when the package arrived: not having ordered it sooner.

Featuring a blend of black and light blue, with the brand logo on the side, Sponeed is one of the most comfortable cycling shorts that I’ve taken to the roads.

Made of 80% polyester and 20% spandex UPF 50+, this really stretched quite well for my thing’s size.

The silicon non-slip bad stays true to its function, keeping the short in position throughout an entire ride.

Soft on skin and breathable enough to wick out moisture, chances of sweating are simply nonexistent.

Pros

  • It’s very easy to clean after use
  • Available in different sizes so you can find a good fit
  • The padding and moisture-wicking feature makes this a great buy

Cons

  • The padding isn’t durable enough

2. Sportneer Men's Cycling Short

No products found.

Designed to fit, soft on skin, and featuring an ergonomic design that blends well with a bike’s saddle, Sportneer is a premium option to consider if you’re looking for a top rated cycling short for men.

Having cycled in it for 6 rounds already, I must confess that it offers superior comfort for the price.

The stretch is on point, the nylon and spandex material provides a higher level of comfort, and the breathable mesh lining ensure maximum air circulation.

You’ll love the reflector on the logo, not because it looks good to the eyes but because it’ll help you to ride safely in the dark.

Pros

  • Has a reflector that enable other road users to see you at night
  • Has silicone grippers for a secure fit, regardless of how fast you ride your bike
  • Includes 3 layer sponge cushion for comfort

Cons

  • The lycra is thin and will fall out of shape fast

3. EZRUN Men's 3D Padded Mountain Bike Shorts

It’s fine to use your casual short for cycling. But if you seriously need comfort, then you should consider EZRUN 3D mtn bicycle shorts.

Beyond looking nice with a few bells and whistles here and there, what you’re getting for the price is a high quality short made of 92% polyester and 8% elastance.

With such materials, you won’t just look great in black. You’ll also be riding comfortably.

I love the inner underwear because EZRUN gives it a good padding and some kind of an ergonomic to make it fit just about any mountain bike’s seat.

Overall, this is a very comfortable pair of shorts for the price.

Pros

  • Has an elastic waistband that’s easy to adjust for a proper fit
  • Breathable enough to dry quickly in case you sweat
  • Includes a reflective logo, a Velcro pocket, and a zippered pocket

Cons

  • Doesn’t feature silicone grippers

4. BALEAF Men's Cycling Shorts

No products found.

BELEAF is one of the most durable and breathable cycling shorts in the market.

From a male cyclist point of view, I definitely love the material and the design.

To begin with, the pair feels soft on touch and even when put on. And the moisture wicking property definitely leaves no room for sweating.

The 3D gradient padding that makes contact with your bottom is so thick that you won’t feel heat or vibration when riding your bike for long hours.

For more comfort, BELEAF adds a twist to the design, ensuring the short bends as you control the bike, such a good way to eliminate friction points between you and the bike.

Pros

  • The ergonomic build ensures minimal friction on your thigh root
  • Made of high quality material for strength and durability
  • Well-padded to provide extra comfort during long rides

Cons

  • Doesn’t cut it for extended period of riding

5. Santic Men's Biking Shorts

Are you tired of cycling shorts that wear and tear fast?

Or maybe you are new to cycling and you’re looking for an inexpensive bike shorts?

Try the Santic shorts.

These are some of the top rated options, if you ask me, because they are made of nylon, Lycra, and spandex.

Santic isn’t sweat resistant, but you’ll love just how fast it dries in case you sweat.

Again, I find the silicone leg grippers quite useful when I’m cycling, so it’s good to see that Santic also has them.

Basically, they keep the short in position, giving you that comfortable fit no matter how long you plan to tour around on your bike.

Pros

  • The shorts are breathable and dries fast
  • Has reflectors on both sides so you can use to ride your bike safely at night

Cons

  • Picking the right size can be confusing for some people because Santic’s size is Asian

Best Bike Shorts For Women

6. BEROY Women’s Bike Shorts

No products found.

BEROY is one of the best pair of shorts that I would like to recommend for women who ride bikes for commuting, sports, or just fun.

The brand gives it a decent build and they have tried to keep the weight as low as possible.

The polyester and spandex fabric doesn’t just give the shorts a durable feel. It also ensures a short touch on skin while ensuring proper elasticity.

The 3D gel padding will give you the comfort you need to sit on the saddle and ride the bike for long hours.

And given that it dries in a matter of minutes, you don’t have to worry about getting wet if you sweat a lot, particularly on long distance rides.

Pros

  • It’s lightweight and fits well
  • Breathable and dries fast
  • It even has the ability to reduce the production of lactic acid

Cons

  • Padding is more on the rear end, making the shorts unsuitable for riders who don’t sit upright

7. BALEAF Women’s Bike Shorts

No products found.

BELEAF doesn’t just design cycling short for men.

It also has this as an option for women who want to ride their bikes in style. It’s made of the same material used to design the men’s model.

Which means it has the exact same level of performance, only this time it’s specifically a design for female riders.

The balance between breathability and compression is on point.

Together with the three-dimensional chamois inserts, they provide the comfort you need to ride your bike all day long.

Pros

  • These shorts are breathable and comfortable to wear for long hours
  • Has a waistband that keeps the short in position no matter how fast you ride your bike

Cons

  • Not the most durable short

No products found.

8. NOOYME Womens Bike Shorts

If you’re a female cyclist who’s into appearance and performance, then you’ll love this cycling short.

Like similar options in this list, NOOYME is made of a combination of two materials, polyamide and spandex, which not only gives it a durable feel but also ensures it’s soft and cool on your skin, even when it gets hot on the trails.

And if aesthetic is even anything to go by, this short is currently available in 22 color schemes, so you can choose what best match your top.

That these are suitable for performance is quite a good thing, because you can actually use them to ride your bike for long hours.

Pros

  • Good for performance cycling
  • High quality design best suited for long hour  riding

Cons

  • A bit pricey compared to other women’s bike shorts on this list

9. Louis Garneau Women's Bike Shorts

Louis Garneau is about fit and style. And these cycling shorts are some of the well-rated options in their product line.

To be frank, you get value for the price.

Or to put it in simple terms, you’re getting a pair of shorts made of high-performance spandex and matte fabric, a pick that will last you a couple of months before you crave for a replacement.

When it comes to safety, Louis Garneau takes the cake with its reflective accent, which lets other road users see you during the day and at night.

If you love to bring your phone with you when cycling, there’s a side pocket for that.

Pros

  • This one is breathable enough to get you through a long hour ride
  • Best option for road, commuting, and mountain biking
  • High density AirSport chamois foam for comfort

Cons

  • Thread tend to hang from the seam after just a couple of weeks of use

10. BEROY Women’s Bike Shorts

Are you looking for bike shorts that combine comfort and style?

This one here is a good option to consider.

Whether you ride for fun, training, or sports, you can be sure that you’ll get the most out of this one.

It’s a lightweight pick, yet durable.

And for the price, you get the little bells and whistles like polyester and spandex fabric, silicone grip, and 3D gel padding to give you the comfort a female rider deserves.

Pros

  • It fits well and it’s extremely lightweight
  • Dries really fast and it’s very breathable

Cons

  • The padding could use some upgrade
