What Makes Exerpeutic 1000XL So Awesome?

1. Dual Action Workout

One of the elements you’ll like on the Exerpeutic 1000XL is the dual-action workout.

Exerpeutic 1000XL can reverse in motion, meaning it can move both forward and backward.

The benefit of this design is that it allows you to work put more muscles than you would just do with the forward motion.

Better yet, the machine has a dual-direction flywheel that enables the upper and lower cardiovascular body improvements.

With the Exerpeutic 1000XL, it's easier to tone, tighten, and strengthen bout your upper and lower body simultaneously.

2. Natural Elliptical Motion Design

Exerpeutic 1000XL is a highly efficient fitness bike that provides you with a natural stride motion.

Here, the bike eliminates instances of bouncing that is normally common with other elliptical fitness machines.

With the Exerpeutic 1000XL, your work out is free from jitteriness or even stuttering.

Instead, you get a seamless motion that lets you focus on the most crucial elements of your work out.

Unique Features that Make Exerpeutic 1000XL Interesting

Frame

Despite the budget tag, the Exerpeutic 1000XL is solidly built for heavy-duty applications.

Unlike other machines, the frame on the Exerpeutic 1000XL is a one-piece steel frame, save for the encasing of the drive and brake system, which is plastic constructed.

Either way, the overall construction is sturdy and built to last.

Better yet, the stability is simply incredible, and when in use, you can be sure that the bike won’t move, or even wobble, even when at the highest intensity settings.

Dimension and Weight Capacity

The size of this machine is quite subjective.

This is because, when you compare it with similar models such as the Schwinn 430, or the Nautilus E614, you’ll see that the Exerpeutic has quite a subdued profile.

On the other hand, however, when you compare the model with a majority of the entry-level unit, you’ll see that it’s quite hefty and bulky too.

Either way, I find the 54 x 23 x 63 in quite modest, and though not the most compact, it’ll easily fit even in the small apartments.

That said, the weight capacity is decent, and if anything, the 300 pound falls right at the average of what a majority of the elliptical trainers provide us with.

Handlebars

No products found.

Like a majority of the elliptical fitness bikes, this model comes with both the mobile and fixed handlebars.

The first set, or rather the mobile grips, are designed with multi-grip angles for the ultimate comfort.

The second pair or rather the fixed handlebar, incorporates a pulse sensor, a handy feature to have, if you plan to keep tracking your heart rate

Both of these types of handlebars are adequately padded with rubber foam and will provide you with a comfortable, firm, and no-slip grip.

No Foot Slippage

When working out in an elliptical trainer, the placement of the foot is crucial.

If your foot slips, for instance, your safety could be compromised.

With the Exerpeutic 1000XL, however, no need to worry about your foot safety because the pedals are designed with a built-in rib design that prevents foot slippage.

The major downside with the pedals on the Exerpeutic 1000XL is the limited stride length.

At just 13 inches, the length on the Exerpeutic 1000XL is roughly 1/3 shorter than what you would expect from a majority of the commercial machines.

This said, the limited stride compromises on your workouts, and this is particularly true is you’re tall.

Generally, with regards to comfort and functionality, this model is adequately suited for users between 4’5” and 5”8”.

Of course, it’s possible to work out even if you’re tall, but you less likely to benefit from a full stretch.

Magnetic Resistance

Coming in with eight levels of magnetic tension resistance, the XL100 will give you a variable training regimen.

Here, it’s easier to tailor your fitness depending on your needs.

For instance, you can increase the resistance levels as you progressively got fitter and stronger.

What I like most about the variable resistance is that it allows you to tailor the operation for all your family members, starting from the teenager's right to the senior.

Better yet, the transition between the individual levels is seamless, fluid, and smooth, and when in use, you're less likely to be interrupted by jerkiness.

Drive and Brake System

The powerhouse on the Exerpeutic 1000XL is based on a belt drive system.

Like a majority of the belt system ellipticals, this machine is smooth and quiet.

With the Exerpeutic 1000XL, it’s now easier to catch your favorite show, while still exercising.

What We Liked About Exerpeutic 1000XL

  • Compact and Portable: The footprint of the Exerpeutic 1000XL is relatively modest for easy storage and use where space is premium. Though the 76 pounds is quite on the higher end, this machine is highly portable, thanks to the incorporation of transport wheels.
  • Easy to Use Console: The console on the Exerpeutic 1000XL is centrally and conveniently located to allow for an easy to read experience. The tracking console keeps you tab on all your crucial performance metrics, including calories burned, time, speed, heart rate, and more.
  • Value: The Exerpeutic 1000XL might not be the most inexpensive models in the market, but it comes with a budget-friendly price. Better yet, it's flush with functional features, and I the reviews are anything to go by; it provides users with value for money.

What We Didn’t Like About Exerpeutic 1000XL

  • Set-Up: The biggest challenge with the Exerpeutic 1000XL is the setup. Many of the users complained that the setup process was a tad sophisticated. The good news is, the manufacturer has included a comprehensive manual, and better yet, they have a highly responsive team.

Bottomline & Verdict

The Exerpeutic 1000XL is not your regular entry-level bike.

It's a heavy-duty option that can take a beating, and though not an ideal model for the serious athletes, it has everything you need for a lightweight/moderate fitness machine.
