Best Cycling Caps Reviews

1. Giordana Brooklyn Team Cycling Cap

Giordana Brooklyn is one of the best cycling caps for the money.

Inexpensive yet impressive, this one features a lightweight cotton build that won’t feel heavy on your head.

Plus, it’s breathable, able to keep you head cool and dry throughout your cycling session.

If you just want a comfortable cap to hear and get by, you may not care about looks nearly as much.

But if you’re color conscious, you want to choose a cap that matches your taste.

Giordana Brooklyn is a good option because of its color combination.

So you get that stylish look that you want.

Pros

  • Made of polyester and cotton, so it’s breathable, lightweight and functional
  • Good moisture-wicking ability, your head feels cool and dry all the time
  • You can easily adjust it to fit the size of your head

Cons

  • The stitching is not up to the standard

2. Retro Prestige Team Cycling Cap

If you’re the kind of cyclist who loves multicolored bike caps, then you will love this Retro Prestige.

Available in over a dozen color mixes, you can pick an option that you feel will look best on you.

Featuring a soft cotton blend and an elastic closure, this cap doesn’t just look good but it also comfortable to wear even for long rides.

Retro Prestige’s sweat absorbing ability isn’t perfect, but it’s better than having nothing.

For the most part, this isn’t a perfect gift for cyclists who sweat a lot.

That’s because the headband is so narrow that it can’t absorb a lot of moisture. Still, it’s a good option to consider if you don’t sweat a lot or if you ride when it isn’t too hot outdoors.

A cap that comes in many colors doesn’t have to be expensive. At least that seems to be the case with this one. In other words, it’s a budget option that doesn’t break the bank, one that you can ever wear under helmet.

Pros

  • Inexpensive yet colorful and well made
  • Breathable, good for keeping your head cool and dry throughout your cycling session
  • Fits well for the most part

Cons

  • Doesn’t have the best moisture wicking ability
  • May feel tight for riders that have big heads

3. CATEYE Cycling Cap for Men

Designed by CATEYE, this cycling cap is one of the most comfortable and good-looking makes that you can use in summer.

Its moisture wicking mesh ensures sufficient airflow in and out to keep your head cool and dry while managing sweat. And the breathable mesh ensures you ride in it comfortably in hot days.

In terms of performance, this is inarguably a multisport cap. And we do recommend it for cycling because its bill has a good extension from the front panel.

As such, it provides sufficient protection from the sun, so you can ride your bike the whole day even under hot weather if you want to.

Featuring a Lycra fabric build, this cap is not only close fitting but also lightweight and easy to clean. While wearing this in the rain won’t cause any damage, it’s important to keep in mind that the cap itself isn’t water resistant. As such you shouldn’t wear it in rainy weather.

Pros

  • Fits well and feel very comfortable
  • Has a reflective logo, which provides some visibility at night
  • You can wear it under a helmet

Cons

  • The stitching isn’t up to scratch
  • Not ideal for riders who have big heads

4. Giro Peloton Cycling Cap

Giro’s mtb cycling gloves aren’t the only best sportswear we’ve received from the brand. Even their Peloton cycling cap is a well-built wear for cyclists who prefer to cover their heads before hitting the road.

If it were water resistant, it would make good choice to use even in rainy weather. But that it’s good for offering sun protection and making you look good still makes it a perfect option for the price.

Peloton cap comes in one size, often fitting many cyclists straight out of the box. We like that it comes in a variety of color schemes, so you can choose an option that blends well with your cycling jersey.

In terms of make, it sports polyester and nanonbon material construct. And the elasticated rear panels make it run true to size.

We also like that it features smart seams. So if you wear this under a bike helmet, the seams will help to manage the pressure points so you don’t feel uncomfortable.

Pros

  • Good quality build, can last long even with daily use
  • You can wear alone or under a helmet

Cons

  • Not water resistant, so it can’t protect you from rain

5. Sportful Giara Cap

We strongly believe that breathable caps are always the best for cycling. After all, who wants to sweat when riding a road bike at top speed or for long hours?

Breathable, with quick drying power that appeals to bike riders, the Giara Cap by Sportful is a good pick that can keep your head cool and dry.

Unfortunately, Giara cycling cap is not for every cyclist. It only fits cyclists with smaller heads, so you want to look elsewhere if you have medium or a bigger forehead.

While it has some reflective inserts presumed to offer visibility when riding at night, they may not be as effective as the best bicycle rear lights are.

Giara cap aren’t water resistant, so you shouldn’t wear them in rainy weather. These are generally good to use for sun protection. And they work really well at that.

Pros

  • Has an elastic back, so it’s easy to adjust
  • Lightweight cycling cap, only weighs around 1.6 ounces

Cons

  • We wish there were additional color options
